Job Summary: To assist in store service operations, to expertly provide quality tune-ups and repairs, and offer a world-class customer experience, contributing to the success of the team and the entire company.
Description:
• Interface with the customer to assess service needs
• Inspect, repair, and service customers’ bicycles
• Assist in generating bike and accessory sales
• Complete accurate work order paperwork and prioritize work orders in an expedient manner
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to customers
• Demonstrate a professional standard of customer service
• Adhere to a all company policies and guidelines
• Maintain organization and cleanliness standards
• Remain current on industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Maintain all company paperwork according to policy
• Communicate with store management to achieve a seamless customer experience and maximize profitability
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 1 year bike mechanic experience required
• Experience with various bike components, service tools, and machinery specifically pneumatic shock overhaul, hydraulic brake overhaul, tubular set-up and wheel building required
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn cash register required
• Strong customer service skills required
• Experience with retail and rental POS systems preferred
Position Available: Assistant Store Manager-Aurora
Status: Full-Time
Location: Bicycle Village - Aurora
The Assistant Store Manager will assist in managing the sales, rentals, staff, operational and merchandising functions of the store to attain maximum profitability, productivity, and a world-class guest experience.
Job Responsibilities:
• Generate sales, demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service
• Assist Store Manager in maintaining an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest service
• Provide training resources for employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, and sales
• Administer company policies and guidelines
• Assist Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to the employees
• Assist Store Manager in monitoring and controlling a daily payroll budget
• Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards
• Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals
• Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures
• Recruit and assist in training and maintaining a quality core staff
• Remain current on new industry products and trends; demonstrate knowledge of products
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent - Required
• 1 year of retail experience - Required
• 1 year of supervisory experience - Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Required
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal - Required
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task - Required
• Experience in the bike retail and service field - Required
• Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems - Preferred
